Alone in a Crowd, and everything related, Copyright 2007, 2008, Thomas D. Szewc.

“What do you do with a B.A. in English,
What is my life going to be?
Four years of college and plenty of knowledge,
Have earned me this useless degree.

I can't pay the bills yet,
'Cause I have no skills yet,
The world is a big scary place.

But somehow I can't shake,
The feeling I might make,
A difference,
To the human race.”

If I ever told you I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, I was apparently lying. I’ve always known I wanted to be a cartoonist ever since drawing those crudely drawn stories in 5th grade with my friend Aaron. Unfortunately, I made myself ignore the dream come high school and most of college to go after a “real” future where I had a chance to make actual money. Well, after four and a half years of college and a degree in English, I feeling like I’m missing something (aside from a great job. Apparently English majors aren’t in high demand). I’ve realized after all this time that you only get one life and to not go after your dream is such a waste. That’s why I refuse to give in and step into the doldrums of monotony. Consider this web comic a piece of my soul and the way to my dreams.

Hey everyone!  It’s a pleasure to meet you all!  My name is Dyana, or Dee if you prefer, the graphic designer on board for the Alone in a Crowd project.  I’ve known Tom for quite a while now, and I am so thrilled that he asked me to help out around here with the web site.  It has truly been a pleasure!  But enough of that, I know what you REALLY want, and that’s to learn all that you can about me.  I know, I know… ^_~  (I’m just joshin’ ya!)  I’m pretty straightforward, I guess.  I am a huge, huge fantasy fan.  Books, games, anything!!!  Needless to say, RPG’s are my most favorite genre of video games, and I play these as often as I can.  Like Tom, I am also into anime.  I don’t have as big a collection as he does (which, trust me, his collection is a sight to behold!), but I’ve got my favs and the love for it!  I love to be creative.  I am currently doing any kind of freelance graphic design work, or anything related to it, whenever I can get my hands on it.  So, if you need a web site, advertisement, business cards, you name it, never hesitate to ask!  I may be the resident designer here, but I am always up for more!  I guess this is kind of me in a nutshell.  Thanks for dropping by!  ^_^
